I`d like to introduce you to my brother Peter and his wife Janine.
They have dedicated their lives to the conservation of our wildlife
and I am very proud of them.

They live in the N.Province and run the Blouberg Conservation Project.
They treat and rehabilitate injured or poisoned birds, animals and hand-
rear babies orphaned by the ignorant cruelty of humans. These two
would not have survived if it were not for them.

Peter`s passion is snakes, he is a walking encyclopedia on the subject.
He is often called out by farmers and locals to catch snakes in their
houses and those he does not release, are housed in his snake-room.
He also does regular education talks in the community.

Janine is the same about her vultures, our feathered garbage collectors.
She monitors the nearby vulture colony and does reports on endangered
and rarely seen species. She treats the poisoned vultures until they are
well enough to be released, not an easy job, but she loves her "vullies".

They also rehabilitate eagles and owls, to name but a few.
Non-rehabilitables are housed and used as living exhibits for the
large
number of school children and students from around the
world who visit their reserve.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit here and to Peter and Janine,
Thank You for the wonderful work you are doing for the
conservation of our wildlife.
